1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Advoke CV website at advoke-cv.pages.dev and any content, tools or services it provides. Your continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Description of service

Advoke CV provides a free, browser-based resume builder, a library of resume templates, career tools, and original written content. All functionality runs in your browser. Advoke CV does not require an account, does not upload your resume data to a server, and does not guarantee any specific outcome from using the site.

3. No guarantees

Advoke CV provides tools and information intended to help you present your experience clearly. Advoke CV makes no guarantee that:

  • Any resume created with Advoke CV will pass any Applicant Tracking System (ATS);
  • Any resume created with Advoke CV will result in an interview or job offer;
  • Any template will be compatible with any specific ATS product;
  • Any guidance in Advoke CV articles will produce any particular career outcome.

Hiring decisions depend on many factors outside a resume: the employer, the role, the wider applicant pool, and the interview process. No resume tool can guarantee an outcome.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use Advoke CV only for lawful purposes. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Create resumes, cover letters or applications that misrepresent your experience, credentials or identity;
  • Impersonate another person or entity;
  • Attempt to compromise the security, availability or integrity of the site;
  • Use automated tools to scrape or mass-download content in a way that harms the site's performance;
  • Republish, resell or redistribute the Advoke CV templates or content as your own.

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of the resume content, cover letters and any other material you create using Advoke CV's tools. Because that content is stored locally in your browser and is never transmitted to Advoke CV's servers, Advoke CV has no access to it and no claim over it.

You are responsible for maintaining a backup of any content you wish to keep (for example, by exporting the resume data as JSON).

6. Intellectual property

All Advoke CV templates, layouts, code, icons, illustrations, and written articles are owned by Advoke CV unless otherwise stated. You may use these materials for personal job-search purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense or claim authorship of Advoke CV's templates or content.

Any names of third-party products or companies mentioned on the site (for example, Google, LinkedIn, HubSpot, Figma) are trademarks of their respective owners. Advoke CV is not affiliated with those companies.

7. Availability

Advoke CV is provided "as is" and "as available". Advoke CV does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site or any specific feature. Features may be modified, added or removed without notice. Because the site is static and runs in your browser, most functionality continues to work even if the site owner cannot respond to individual requests.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Advoke CV and its contributors are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the site, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of resume data from browser storage being cleared;
  • Any hiring, employment or career outcome;
  • Any reliance on information published in Advoke CV articles.

Because Advoke CV is a free service, these limitations are a material part of the site being available at no cost. You should keep your own backup of any resume content you wish to preserve.

9. External links

Advoke CV may contain links to external websites. Advoke CV is not responsible for the content, privacy practices or accuracy of external sites.

10. Advertising

Advoke CV may display advertising on some pages, provided by Google AdSense, only if the site owner has activated advertising after account approval. Advertising is never placed inside the resume editor, resume preview, or between form submission and download controls. Advertising does not affect the advice or content of the site.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will change when material revisions are made. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the site owner operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these terms is intended to restrict any mandatory consumer rights you may have under your local law.
